Happy Tuesday! November is an obvious month filled with gratitude and a popular holiday celebrating “Thanksgiving” and I decided to use Tuesdays for being “thankful” for the people I deeply care and love. ๐
Friendship:ย I find it quite refreshing to see how friendships can be held together through the years of transition, values, and your attitude. Sometimes, it’s permanent and other times it’s temporary. There are also some cases where you lose a friendship and not being aware how much it has unraveled. A friendship which was so dear slowly became perceptively disregarded into your own lifestyle and how your priorities became different, an unsettling disagreement.
When I think of friendships entirely, I think of two realistic concepts: Spiritual (eternity) Friendship verses Categorical (earthly) Friendship. I passionately choose spiritual friendship and a quote from Tim Keller describes it perfectly:
A solid friendship for me is to encourage, love, care, be sound, be authentically tactful, having laughter and be understanding with your friends choices. Most importantly having Jesus at the center of the friendship and confidently knowing you are thought of in the purest way when they pray for you. The prayers I give should always be reciprocated with respect and consideration.
I will begin with one of my dearest friends who I have known since grade school. She is kind, graceful, exceptionally lovely, a great portrayal for being such a woman of God, she has such a heart of gold, and many other amazing attributes I cannot even put into detail. It will be a novel if I decided to keep going. ๐ Although we live miles away, she has graciously been a text and a phone call away when I do message and speak to her. I am truly blessed we have this solid friendship thus far. When I think of my dear friend, Kathrine, I think of this Bible verse:
