An early morning filled with silent greetings. We sat together at the dining table while eating cereal and patiently waiting for the day’s events. As the day begun everyone went to the caverns where we wandered deep down 180 feet to see darkness, but also trusted each other’s path. Our stomach quickly rumbled and we all gathered together eating sandwiches and enjoying the splendor of the breezy afternoon.
Travels continued and we decided to let the heat disperse and transition into a cooler climate filled with water, food, mingling, and friendship. Before we dipped our toes into the water, two hands grabbed each other, holding tight while we learned to trust to stay close together and later became a firm grip to hold a handle where none of us streamed away.
