I am so happy to share the last of this very short “chapter on appreciation” posts. Although, friendship may come and go. I am grateful for the learning experience and respecting what friendship truly is. The understanding of how important relationships work. I’m not stating a relationship is defined by dating, but the value of how a relationship is with our family and our friendships. I have learned, recently; you should never be defined by who you are with, but who you are as a person. How you treat others and, most importantly, yourself.
“We sometimes encounter people, even perfect strangers, who begin to interest us at first sight, somehow suddenly, all at once, before a word has been spoken.” |Fyodor Dostoevsky|
The continuous travels to church and various gatherings finally came to an end at the place we first met and we said our goodbyes. What I could remember was… he was like a house. Every attribute I have seen is like a new window he opens which I never discovered before. A new window to open part of a wall I wanted to conceal.
In that moment I respected the value of allowing a friend to know me as a person and the excitement to know them as a person. Truly, another beautiful light beaming through the clouds when you allow a new friend to be dear to you.
Thank you, dear friend. Thank you for being a listening ear when I need it. You have such genuine fervor and I admire that deeply. I want you to keep being a blessing to others as you are to me. Our friendship is such a blessing to see it blossom. I pray everything works out for you and incredible things happen for you because you are wonderful and everyone should see the light in you!
What a blessing to get to know you and how you remind me about kindness and sincerity. Both of these characteristics are truly treasures that, unfortunately, this world doesn’t appreciate. Stay confident in who you are in Christ: loved, beautiful and full of Grace. This, I know, the light in you will make where you are headed a brighter place. Bettering the lives around you.
I pray God continually blesses you with a dear friend and they touch your heart. I pray you allow the warmth of His love to bestow on you as he enriches you with loving and nurturing family in your life and friendships who support you on your endeavors and allow their loving yet subtle honesty equip you to be the best person you can be for yourself, and to others.
