a slight glimmer

Job didn’t have to know why he was going “through the fire.”
He was content to know that God knew. He recognized that God was in control,
and if God was in control, he was in good hands.
[Unshakable: Finding Faith to Weather the Storm]

Good evening! Recently, I have been listening and reading multiple occurrences of hardships through dearest friends and it is a devastating time to believe there is emptiness and no light in this situation.

One of the big news I came across is: one of my friends said their husband has cancer and it literally broke my heart… broke my heart as to how sensitive and sudden pain can spread emotionally, physically, and mentally. When I immediately thought of that, I also thought about our flesh and how we are born with sin.

The parallels towards cancer vs. sin is not a topic anyone likes to discuss, but it is very evident on how our sin is among us in every single fiber of our being, inside us, what we listen to, what we see, how we speak, etc. All those details never goes away. Sin traps us into chains where we can’t get ourselves out of freely.

When we learn to gain and fully trust in the Lord, we are aware of sin and it is everywhere (ourselves, those surrounding us, the things we own) it’s a chain we have to endure. We also learn those chains will be freed. Just like my dear friend. He is going through so much and I am grateful He knows Jesus in His heart and, although, He is struggling: God is and will always be present in his chapter right now and always. Even, at times, when we believe He is far away. He isn’t.

“… and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” |Matthew 28:20|

Please remind yourself that God will always love you and He wants your aches and wounds to be upon Him because He cares for you and understands your pain. He will heal you completely and that is truly a magnificent blessing to receive. Learn to daily thirst for the Lord and allow His love, grace and mercy be upon you and within you in spite of our sins. We are wrong, but it is our heart and our actions that is willing to change and ignore the sinful deeds in our flesh.

but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
|John 4:14|
