For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord,
who has compassion on you.”
Good evening! I wanted to share some photos from my trip last month with my family. My little lovebug did so amazing on the plane, however, not so great in the car. Growing up I had, well still have problems with being easily car sick. Unfortunately, it seemed to be that my lovebug has it too… I do hope I am wrong in the future when they get older.
Anyway, the past few months has been SO exciting! First, I wanted to share I went to Alaska for the first time!! It was such a lovely opportunity and experience to share new memories with my little family, to sightsee different locations, and to hike as much as we could! My favorite part about Alaska is they have multiple little “cabins” which is displayed as drive-thru coffee shops. I LOVED it. Also, after taking multiple photos before we even landed I told my husband, “OKAY, I’m ready to move here. I am in awe.” Really though, our family is near us and we are celebrating a wonderful tradition tomorrow of seeing a parade and gathering together for lunch. So, I’m not ready to just get up and go yet. 🙂
Secondly, my husband celebrated his first Father’s Day! I am so overwhelmed and so excited for him. Before this day approached I kept asking him what he wanted for Father’s Day and he was like “nothing”… Well, I gave him a Rural King gift card because he goes there all the time. I go with him and just eat the popcorn haha. Anyway, I am so grateful he is a Dad and celebrating this special day.
I snapped this photo of him gazing at the mountains. What great views, huh? 🙂
Honestly, I cannot say anything but wonderful things for my husband. He compliments me so well and he treats our child with such love, admiration, care and concern. I am so thankful for him to be the father of our child, and most importantly, for our Heavenly Father to continue to guide my husband to take care of not only me and my child, but also those surrounding him.
I continually pray for my husband and child for God’s love to fully be in their hearts, for God’s mercy to continue awaken our eyes to see compassion in others, for God’s truth to guide us in every day situations.
Lastly, my husband was so sneaky with surprising me a big 3-0 birthday party. After we came home from church, and some errands I saw all these cars parked at our house and I was all, “what is this? I told you I didn’t want something big.” But it wasn’t, it was actually perfect! My family, his family and a few friends and that was enough. I did receive some sweet gifts, but everyone being there saying “happy birthday” and giving me hugs would have been sufficient! 🙂 I am all for “simplicity” and not exaggerating outings or things.
Anyway, life has been good and have been quite “busy” with the real world and not the web.
