But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” ||Matthew 19:14||
My little family had the pleasure of going to a destination wedding and, I must say, I was NOT a fan of the heat. Thankfully, we came back home where it was 30 degrees.
Recently, I have been thinking a lot about “marriage” and the ongoing pace of learning new characteristics, flaws, humor and faithfulness with my husband. I’m sure he has learned plenty from me too. It is quite a juggle sometimes learning to get along when days are long, and months are too short while taking care of our baby, but it is quite rewarding to grow and learn among it all.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about self-worth too. There’s never a chapter or a page to be perfect or entitled about understanding your self worth, who you’re surrounding yourself with, and how much a person respects you.
When you surround yourself with people who love, support, encourage and pray for you for an ongoing basis in spite of our flaws it is quite refreshing and a rewarding gift.
If you have a family member, friend, an acquaintance who misuses that opportunity to be present and respects you. Who guides you to a destructive pattern of insults, lies, and a losing battle of feeling unloved is definitely not worth your energy (my husband and I had a fair share of people who were like that) but we’re thankful we learn through those chapters and know those people are a lesson and a blessing.
It’s how you choose to believe in yourself and who you’re surrounded with. A solid, genuine group of people who, along with, their prayers and your prayers to God where He can mold us to be humble and compassionate in every circumstance.
Lately, I have been QUITE emotional and grumpy. WHY…
This definitely isn’t a reason why. I just want to brag. 🙂 Anyway, I have been quite emotional and grumpy because I take everything literally versus shaking it off and be positive with situations. I am so guilty of being insecure with things! There’s no reason to behave this way. the best way to get out of the funk is your reaction and action towards handling it.
Hope you enjoy my little update and ramblings. Blessings on your week and have a lovely Thanksgiving surrounded by family and friends.
