truly faithful, truly devoted

“I love you,
in ways
you’ve never been
loved,
for reasons you’ve never been
told,
for longer than you think you
deserved
and with more
than you will ever know existed
inside
me.”
Tyler Knott Gregson; Chasers of the Light

Good evening! I absolutely love the quote I just shared above. I have honestly been following him ever since I graduated high school (more than 10 years ago!) and it’s so refreshing to see raw writings.

I don’t know if I ever shared my engagement ring, but I love it so much and it is a symbol of commitment and a covenant you give to your husband.

“WHEN THE BOW IS IN THE CLOUDS, I WILL SEE IT AND REMEMBER THE EVERLASTING COVENANT BETWEEN GOD AND EVERY LIVING CREATURE OF ALL FLESH THAT IS ON THE EARTH.””

GENESIS 9:16

Here is a photo from their website (which includes what the wedding band looks like):

I have never heard of Neil Lane before and one of my friends got all excited and exclaimed, “He designs wedding rings for the Bachelor!” which I have never watched before and don’t plan to either.

Thankfully with our debt free journey, the ring was paid in FULL September 2018! I am so thankful for that. Unfortunately, I am unable to wear this ring due to my pregnancy and I am using these rubber rings I bought from Amazon, Enso Rings which I bought three different colors: blue, gray and white.

Our debt free journey so far:

  • One of my credit cards paid in full. One left to go!
  • One of my dental bills is paid in full!

Thank you Jesus for providing us income to be able to eliminate debt the best we can! The end of the tunnel looks more promising and I feel like we are halfway there. 🙂

While I was thinking about the title of this post, I immediately thought about being committed to each other not only in our marriage, but committed to use our income to be in a good way, which is pleasing to God.

I try to live like that everyday! There are moments I mess up and moments to acknowledge those mistakes and change.

As I expressed in my previous post about following various people who are also on their debt free journey. I decided follow a goal (also because Lent is coming too!) and begin the month of March with….

N O S P E N D I NG!

|online|
Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, Poshmark

|stores|
Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, Target, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s

In January and February, I was following various Instagram peeps and hashtags for the stores I listed above and it did not help me reach my goal to be debt free! It was impulsive little purchases (which I’m guilty with comparing!) and looking back with my actions, I am not impressed! So that’s my goal for March and I hope I hold myself accountable by:

  • Unfollowing all Instagram and hashtags to eliminate my comparison and impulse idea of “go ahead and get it! YOLO!” and any other social media which I follow them at!
  • Remove apps on my phone to help eliminate me putting items in my cart and press “complete order/complete checkout”.
  • While going out with my daughter to get groceries say NO to driving into the parking lot of those stores and keep driving.

Praying deeply to not be a “prey” of impulse and categorize myself to need what everyone has. Instead, praying deeply to be gazelle intense and look forward to be debt free, give, be selfless than selfish.

On another note, rearranged the decorations for Spring/Summer around the house. Hoping to share them soon! I am also excited to share some new things I purchased (before my gazelle intense goal for March!) and I will go into more detail when they arrive in the mail and display pictures. Still contemplating to share a video, but we shall see how I feel about that.

Blessings on your day today and the rest of the week!!
